# Low-E glass

Low-E glass

Low-E (low-emissivity) glass contains a thin metal coating which allows sunlight to enter but bounces heat back into the room. The window achieves superior thermal performance through this method because it blocks heat escape during winter and blocks solar heat gain during summer while keeping clear views.

The application of Low-E coatings in double or vacuum insulated glazing systems results in lower U-values that typically measure at or below 1.2 W/m²K which makes them standard for modern energy-efficient window designs.

These windows provide two key advantages by decreasing condensation formation and shielding indoor furniture from UV damage which makes them suitable for traditional and modern residential properties.
