# Bay window

Bay window

A bay window is a building element which projects from exterior walls by extending outward into space. The typical design includes a central window which can either stay fixed or be openable and two angled side windows that join at 30°, 45°, or 90° angles.

Victorian and Edwardian homes often feature bay windows which provide extra room inside while bringing in more sunlight and allowing better outdoor visibility.

Six Over Six Windows function in heritage settings through timber box sash or casement bays which maintain original proportions and glazing bar patterns and detailed original replication or restoration.
